2010 fair year

Hey guys! It has been an awesome year! At our county fair I got Grand Champion goat and hog! I also won my class with my steer. A week after that we went to the Gold Buckle GALA Extravaganza. There I got Reserve Champion hog and got to go in to Champion drive. Since we didn't go to the state fair we went to Florida! It was amazing! From our condo we could see the ocean. It was mostly our back yard. i LOVE crab legs! This year I played softball. Our team got first place in our league. Since school has started my whole schedule is messed up! I Love school this year.

Hey guys I have been so busy! Its June and time to get cattle, goats, and hogs ready for fairs.Last weekend i showed up in Springfield. American Junior Simmental Association had a regional deal. I did pretty good for my first year. I got fifth over all in my division. In showmanship and all the other junior activities I had to compete. After seeing my dad A-I a couple times I think I know how to. Yesterday, I put my goats on a chariot. t helps build their mussel. Hook it up to a lawn mower before you do anything.

Yesterday

Hello, yesterday my dad had an FFA banquet last night. My sisters and I had school also. Today I am doing a lot. Like working cattle, softball, and a goat show. Hopefully i learn a lot and get some pointers.

A lot to tell

I have two goats, four pigs, and four show calves. A lot is being done around here. Plus I am excited because its the last month of school. Why the title is hog whisperer is because When I walk pigs I love on everyone and my gilt loves to be scratched on her stomach. When you do that, she will fall down and move her legs. All my other pigs have been looking good. My cattle have been good too. They are eating, leading, and improving everyday. My goats have good personality's. I can't wait till fair season.

A lot to tell

There is a lot to tell you. For a couple of weeks I have had 4 pigs. Their names are Tex and Carl I got from Texas. JR from Joe Roberts. My gilt Betty. Last year from the State Fair a girl I know from showing gave her pigs Doritos. I tried that, they did not like them so I gave them animal crackers. They like them. Five days ago we put one of my heifers on a donkey. The donkey trains her to obey,trust, and not to kill us. It worked. All my other calves are doing good. My steers are getting big and heifers are looking great.

Welcome Black Beauty!

My heifer that I did really good with had a calf. This calf is beautiful and funny to watch. Her name is Black Beauty. Last week was so BUSY! My dad had contests all week for FFA. My youngest sister is showing a bottle calf. She named it tiger because of his tail. He did not like the halter at all. On the 24TH there was a hog sale. I did not buy anything. Then there is another one on April 1st. I am at the point where I'm ready to get pigs.

Getting ready for Columbia!

This week at school we have started to do the 50 mile club. It is where you run a mile each day. At this point of time I am very sore! The main reason I am going to go to Columbia is to judge animals and have fun. My dad is taking me and his FFA Livestock judging team. When it comes to this stuff my little sister wants to tag along. I hope everyone has a nice spring break!

Long time no see. I have been very busy! I have a heifer that has been dehorned. We got her into the barn and tied her up and had take the stitches out. Grosses thing ever. My two steers have been gaining weight. The others are getting ready for Jackpots. Softball season is coming up pretty quick. My sister and I have been practicing a lot. We have been playing outside too. Hopefully it stays warm.

Getting ready for steer weigh-in

I have been getting ready for steer weigh-in for our youth fair. What I did to get ready is wash one of my steers and blow him. He did not like that very well because has not had any water,feed, and hay. Then all of a sudden it started to rain. So much for getting a lot of other things done.My dad and I bet on my calves weight. Hopefully I win!

Love is in the air

Love is in the air! But do you know why? It is Valentines day! Chocolates,cards,flowers,and love. The four main things of Valentines day. On Monday, I had no school. Therefore it was a boring day. Tuesday I had to go back to school:(. At least I get to stay inside. But I still had to do chores. Does anybody besides me want warm weather? To much cold!

Wendesday and Thursday

Wednesday was an early out. Much the afternoon was boring ,until chores. We caught my heifer and someones steer and took the bandages of the calves. EW!But cant wait till ringworm and lice is over. My calves are tierd of being poured so they do not get it. On Thursday I had dance and 4-H. Now dance is a nightmare! I will be sore tomorrow. 4-H is a fun time. All us country folks get together have a meeting and enjoy each other. I also got to make cards for my teacher and science and social studies teacher. I am now the Vice President of my club.

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday!

Well as you all know the Saints beat the Colts:(. But Monday was scary!! School was the same. But after school was the problem. Since I have a heifer that has devil horns, she got them surgically removed. That was the grosses thing ever! Plus it was muddy and wet outside. Today was very cold! I had so many chores to do. My heifer is looking sore but is in the barn and chillen out.

Now I have three followers! I am so excited and it is some of our friends, they are like my parents. My day was long! I thought it would never end. I am also excited about the "Super Bowl". Lets go Colts! Hopefully we do mot get a inch of snow like they are saying we are getting.

Girls night out

I am having a girls night out!!! I have some of my bff over and partying. I can"t wait tell i get my pigs and some new cows. Getting ready for them is the hardest part. The easy part is buying them. My new calf Leo is a pain in the butt!! Does not like to be worked with.

Friday

Today we are going to the PBR bull riding event. I also did juging cattle,question over them, and did ten classes. I found out that I have another steer, his name is Leo. Just like Miss M C did. She is one of my bff we go to all the shows together.

Thursday

Thursday was so scary! I had to do a speech! I hate talking in front of an audience. That was a tough competition! My legs have been starting to hurt now. Two days straight of walking. Need a rest. The hotel is amazing and my best friend from Columbia, we got in the hot tub. I now have another follower I need more.

What a breezy day!

It was so breezy today! My mom and I have very sore legs right now. People here need more meat on their bones. Everyone walks,rides the bus, or taxi. But mostly walks. The "River walk" was so nice. The boat ride was windy but learned a lot of cool things. We also toured the Alamo. That was also very exciting. A lot of things learned from that place. My favorite part was the mall. There was a lot of places to eat though. Wish me luck on my jugging and speaking contests. Hopefully I will not be as nervous as I am right now.

San Antonio is SO amazing!!!!

This place is beautiful! It is like 75 degrees here. I would like to say hey to my teacher and my class. The place that I am staying is called "Hilton". Are room is looking over the "The River Walk". You guys will learn more tomorrow as I explore more of San Antonio.

Staying in Moore,OK

Right now we are in are nice hotel in Moore! We are leaving in the morning and hopefully get to San Antonio by middle of the afternoon. I am looking forward to being there. All the events we are doing each day I will post here!

Getting ready to go to Texas

Today, we went to church and watched football. I got a new steer today and named him " Leo". We also packed for San Antonio!! We are so excited to be going. I will be going to judge cattle,go to the PBR, and shope. Follow me and see what is up with me and what I am doing.

Very busy farmgirl!!!!

I have been SO busy these past days! It has been so gross outside today. It was impossible to do chores today. I tried to do chores not in the rain. Monday I am leaving for San Antonio. Stay tuned in to see what I'm up to.

Thursday

Today and yesterday was so busy!!!! I have had a lot of activities like dance, chores, and school. I go to dance at Ovation. The classes I do are ballet and jazz. I can't wait till San Antonio, only four days left. I would like for you guys to check up everyday to see what I'm doing.

Tuesday

Today was school. Very nice too. We all were outside playing. This time when I did chores I did not get stuck with my Muck boots. Looking forward to San Antonio next week for NCBA. So log on every day from Tuesday to Saturday to know what is going on with me and my parents.

Monday

It was so nice today! We all played outside on the trampoline and tire swing. I actually wanted to do chores. Earlier today I went to my mom's work and helped out. She works at Cloud's, our family business where we sell meat and custom butcher. I helped out by helping customers and ran around delivering messages from my mom.

Sunday

Today was a typical day. Where people go to Church and watch football. We did the same thing but washed my show calves. As well as tracking through the mud and trying not to get stuck. I blew out my steer and clipped on him.
